Comércio internacional e circularidade: um olhar integrativo sobre tópicos emergentes

Resumo

Apesar de ter como um de seus objetivos o desenvolvimento sustentável, na Organização Mundial do Comércio - OMC a implementação de um programa de transição para o modelo circular continua como algo pendente. Este artigo tem como objetivo identificar os aspectos emergentes associados à economia circular nas normativas, textos acadêmicos e técnicos relacionados ao comércio internacional. Com este fim, realizou-se uma revisão integrativa, levantando-se publicações entre 2017 e 2022, por meio de bases de dados da CAPES, da OMC e de organizações relacionadas ao comércio internacional, sendo encontrados 46 artigos e textos técnicos. Como tópicos emergentes principais, tem-se: uso de acordos multilaterais ambientais como base para o comércio circular; governança como convergência entre comércio e meio ambiente; saúde, bem-estar e, finalmente, participação de micro e pequenas empresas nas cadeias circulares comerciais. A circularidade vem se fortalecendo pelo estabelecimento de governanças em especial nos tratados de natureza regional.
