Erradicação do H. Pyloi: obstáculos e benefícios

O Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) é uma bactéria comum que habita a mucosa gástrica, presente em grande parte da população mundial. É importante destacar que esse patógeno leva a um problema de saúde pública global, sendo associado a diversas doenças. Objetivo: analisar os obstáculos e os benefícios da erradicação do H. pylori. Metodologia: foi realizada uma revisão sistemática baseada na metodologia PRISMA, escolhidos por 3 critérios: estudos transversais com abordagem voltada à erradicação do H. pylori em jovens e adultos. Foram analisados 221 artigos, em que 65 foram escolhidos e enviados para 2 pareceristas e 23 foram selecionados. Resultados: foi constatado por meio dos artigos, que muitas pessoas não sabiam como se dava a transmissão pelo H. pylori, como as baixas condições socioeconômicas e fontes de água e alimentos contaminados, em que os fatores de risco incluem adultos maiores de 30 anos, sexo masculino, pessoas empregadas e fumantes de narguilé. Conclusão: Concluiu-se que, a infecção pelo H. pylori é muito frequente no mundo, podendo ocasionar o desenvolvimento de doenças gástricas e neoplásicas caso não seja realizada sua erradicação.
