Resumo

This study aimed to verify the effectiveness of plastic bottle novel trap model for muscoids adults’ collection in dairy farms from Sinop, Mato Grosso State, Brazil, as well as evaluate the attractiveness of different baits for Musca domestica attraction. It was used four different baits. A total of 18,491 flies were collected in 30 days of study. The most efficient bait was made with fish viscera. These results show the efficiency of this novel model of proposed trap and a new destination for these packages.
