Antibioticoprofilaxia na Implantodontia: revisão integrativa

A indicação da antibioticoprofilaxia nas cirurgias orais requer responsabilidade e conhecimento científico atualizado dos profissionais sobre o medicamento prescrito, dosagem exata, tempo de administração, mecanismo de ação, principais indicações e efeitos colaterais desses fármacos. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi realizar uma revisão narrativa e integrativa da literatura acerca da importância e utilização da profilaxia antibiótica na Implantodontia. A base de dados escolhida para a seleção dos estudos foi o Pubmed que engloba o Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), o portal Science Direct e na Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), no período de 2000 a 2021, disponibilizados eletronicamente na íntegra nas bases de dados citadas anteriormente; publicados em português, inglês, francês e espanhol; em humanos, e os tipos de publicações foram casos clínicos, revisão integrativa e revisão sistemática da literatura. A amoxicilina destacou-se como principal fármaco utilizado na antibioticoprofilaxia e fatores como a natureza invasiva do procedimento e o perfil de risco do paciente devem ser considerados na recomendação do uso da profilaxia, pois a mesma, quando bem indicada, previne possíveis infecções no pós-operatório e contribui para a elevação da taxa de sobrevida dos implantes dentários.
