The study objective was to characterize the microbiological aspects of raw semen from Tabapuã bulls kept in a semen production center. Five Tabapuã bulls were used, and four ejaculates were collected using the artificial vagina method. Bacterial colonies were quantified and identified by morphotintorial analysis (Gram staining) and identification tests for bacterial isolates. Among the twenty semen samples collected, bacteria genera were identified: Citrobacter sp. (3.03%); Corynebacterium sp. (3.03%); Enterobacter sp. (9.09%); Escherichia sp. (9.09%); Klebsiella sp. (9.09%); Providencia sp. (3.03%); Pseudomonas sp. (12.12%); Staphylococcus sp. (45.46%) and Streptococcus sp. (6.06%). It was possible to observe and identify the microbial agents present in the semen samples.
