O impacto da mamoplastia e da lipoaspiração na autoestima e na autopercepção da imagem corporal: revisão integrativa
Resumo
Objective: To compare and analyze the impact of self-esteem and body self-perception on the acceptance of patients in mammoplasty or liposuction procedures. Methods: This is an integrative literature review, in which the PICO research strategy for the organization of the theme and the method was addressed. It was carried out in the PubMed and Portal Capes databases, with the descriptors "Lipectomy", "Mammaplasty" and "Self Concept", isolated by parentheses and connected, separately, through the Bolean operator "AND", with the use of full text filters, exclude preprints and articles in Portuguese and English. Result: The influence of mammoplasty and liposuction surgeries on patients' self-esteem and body self-assessment was observed. The studies showed improvement in the psychological parameter that positively affected the quality of life of patients, such as improvement in self-esteem, body acceptance, sexual aspect, greater physical fitness, occupational capacity and ability to relax. Conclusion: It is concluded that both mammoplasty and liposuction, as long as they follow a realistic ideal and there is an adequate pre-surgical follow-up, have a positive effect on the health of patients.
