Eventos adversos associados ao uso de vasopressores em cateter venoso periférico: revisão integrativa

Objetivo: identificar os eventos adversos relacionados a infusão de medicamentos vasopressores em pacientes com cateter venoso periférico. Método: revisão integrativa, realizada nas bases: PubMed, Lilacs, Livivo, Cinhal, Scopus e Embase, em 10 de julho de 2022. Foram incluídos 08 estudos, 1.674 pacientes foram analisados, a maioria homens, com idade média superior ou igual a 60 anos. Resultados: a norepinefrina e fenilefrina foram os fármacos mais utilizados. O antebraço e a fossa antecubital foram os sítios de punção mais frequentes, com dispositivo de calibre 18G ou 20G. Houve 56 complicações, sendo 47 extravasamentos, 07 complicações menores (dor, eritema, edema, entre outros) e 02 tromboflebites. Todos os eventos solucionados de forma conservadora. Conclusão: a administração periférica de vasopressores pode ser segura quando realizada com cautela, em doses moderadas, num período inferior a72 horas e com monitorização constante. Estudos futuros são necessários para determinar os fatores que estão associados às complicações.
