Resumo

Throughout the years, the comminution team at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP) has been developing tools with the aim of making life easier for process engineers working in the area of size reduction. This work presents a software for estimating the parameters of the ore breakage function (Austin & Luckie, 1971) (Austin et al, 1984).

Vladmir Kronemberger Alves, Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto

Vladmir has 30 years experience in mineral processing and has been working for School of Mines at Federal University of Ouro Preto since 2019. He is professor of mineral processing, comminution and simulation. He has also expertise in simulation, comminution circuits design and optimization, cement and coal plants and consulting. He graduated in Mining Engineering from UFMG (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais), got a M.Sc. and D.Sc. degree at the same institution. Vladmir is also the author of approximately 30 papers in mineral processing.
